Re_ updated SRB2 v2.0 in 2.2 with a new update entry:

v1.4 - General Accuracy

It's what it says. Almost every action that's different in v2.0 has been ported to Lua. Additionally, some object behavior has been updated. A lot aren't done yet, and they'll probably take a little while, so I plan to follow up this update with v1.5 after I finish, but the major ones (rings, checkpoints, etc.) have been finished and no longer use their v2.2 behavior.

Patch Notes:
  • All actions that are different in v2.0 have been taken from its source code and rewritten in Lua...

very good port! with some minor tweaking in the settings you can make it look basically identical to actual 2.0 (particular props for removing the dropshadow i really like that and it goes a long way to making it feel accurate)

i do want to ask though How possible is it to retrofit 2.0's palette to the current day one? I already can't really tell the difference but it might help even more

Thank you! Also, what settings exactly? I do want to try to make this as accurate as I can.

I probably won't use 2.0's original palette because I'd need to wait for SLADE to recolor all of the base game's graphics and also change every skincolor's ramp to fit, which is incredibly mind-numbing and tedious. But also I sat and rewrote actions in 2.0's source code in Lua for 4 hours at midnight so maybe my idiocy will get bored enough to do it?

oh by settings i meant like putting camera stuff back to default that's got nothing to do with the mod LOL

I wanted to ask if the 2.0 in the 2.0 character names could be removed from the versions of them that come with the levels and also what camera settings make the game the most accurate to 2.0

For the last part, I think you should just change your control style to Strafe.

Thanks

it seems like 2.0 knux is a bit too dark of a red color i found that the standard red color worked perfectly but that's just what i found

Re_ updated SRB2 v2.0 in 2.2 with a new update entry:

v1.5 - SOC but Lua flavored.

On this exciting episode of "Re updates the 2.0 port after JSFN for whatever reason, pushing the addon he actually puts most of the effort into down the list," all enemy "SOC" has been redone to ports from v2.0's source code!

This is pretty much a "v1.4: Part 2" as this was meant to be done in that update but got tired... But it's done now through the power of the internet going out and having nothing better to do.

Patch Notes:
  • enemy code redone (again)
  • The palette is now the...

I also wanna ask, how does your mod replace the Things? I also want to replace objects with their old counterparts, especially the signpost and badniks and bosses and such.

I'm sorry if I'm asking too many stupid questions,
but how do you customize the order of the Extras menu?
