what happened to that top down port?

it was supposed to come out in 2024 and was announced in the first day of 2024, its 2025 and its not out

i would really like to see it finished tho, top down was one of my favorite mods

From what I remember hearing, it was being rewritten in lua with code and camera improvements. KKD wasn’t satisfied with how accurate the results were to the original, so it was decided to have it all reworked into a new Top Down successor level pack

Hi, Top Down 2.2 dev here. Yes it was canceled due to inaccuracies, ironically i was changing too much to be new. The good news is the engine itself, which i had built from scratch to modernize parts of Top Down like the controls and camera, is being used to make an original game effectively from the ground up. More information on RTPW will come in the following months as we work on a demo 1 that should be bigger than Top Down was in its entirety.

No, Top Down 2 was always a joke name we used to refer to it and to honor it's lineage of sorts
It's new name is in the acronym RTPW, you'll find out what it stands for when we release demo 1 >:3

JanaSol is involved with Platinum Entertainment, AKA one of the groups seen in the trailer for the project, so I'd assume yes.
