What if sonic x got more than 3 seasons?

So.... IF YOU STUMBLED UPON THIS THREAD...... I'd like to know what you think a fourth season (and further on) of the sonic x anime would be like!

Because I (myself) personally (after watching all of the sonic x anime (tho it was the 4kids dub unfortunately)) felt that there could've been more for the series that could've followed season 3 (aka the metarex saga)


Any thoughts? Any ideas?

Cause I'm curious, AND I felt like getting this question out of my head for some reason!


UPDATE to top of thread (3/6/2025): heres a good majority of what I would want for a season 4 of sonic x for the seasons primary character cast

I enjoyed the show, but I don't think it really needed any more time. Originally, I thought it was some obscure Sonic anime and that it was a miracle it got 3 seasons somehow, but turns out, it was so popular, that when it WAS going to end on the second season, they stayed for a third!

I love the show (most accurate Sonic show imo. Prime sucks btw), but since it single-handedly screwed with the voice cast for the next 6 years or so, I'd prefer it never existed.

I'm pretty sure the fourth season WOULDN'T have Chris Thorndike as the main human protagonist (instead there could be a entirely new character taking that spot (who'd be written in MUCH better))


And YES, I do have quite a few ideas of my own, but I don't think my ideas for it are enough imo

In fact! I was really hoping to hear some ideas that could make a season 4 of sonic x stand out from seasons 1-3.....


But.... Ok then!...
 
Ideas? Other than exploring the dark form further, I got nothin'. Perhaps a Sonic Heroes Arc would be interesting.

Probably another character arc or backstory if they would introduce a new character, and they would probably add chris for some episodes before introducing a new character (and what i mean is that they would give chris a little more screen time then the new character would be added then make subtle changes until chris is completely gone from the episodes)

Actually Chris would return only as a minor support character in a potential season 5

The new character HAS TO BE INTRODUCED IMMEDIATELY!

Besides! Plenty of people don't like Chris Thorndike to begin with!

buddy.... kye would be a PERFECT human protagonist! (Not that I think Chris is 100% awful, it's just that the character didn't quite fit as a protagonist imo)

In addition! I've got season 4s story arcs mapped out!

1. Computerized copycat saga
2. Neo metal sonic saga
3. Future forefront saga
4. Showdown of champions saga
5. Dark sonic saga (yes seriously, there's a story arc where sonic gets to use dark sonic again (somehow))

Actually the sonic rush saga is for season 5

BUT NO SONIC 4 SAGA! Sonic 4 can't be adapted because it's events would've taken place before the series EVEN STARTED

But in the sonic x timeline, it seems like sonic CD didn't happen because if it did, metal sonic would've appeared already in the series and who is in sonic 4? Metal Sonic (as episode metal) so maybe sonic 4 would be adapted

Orbot and Cubot wouldn't exist yet because Orbot first appears in sonic unleashed and Cubot appeared in sonic colors i think? and how would the human characters appear since after season 3 because Sonic and friends went back to mobius (or their earth) during season 2, so how would that work?

Well sonic x is not decided by English viewers, it's mostly Japanese viewers and besides people likes Chris in Japan.

umm.... thats because metal sonic WAS JUST BUILT by the time s4 ep. 1 EVEN BEGINS! (atleast in this timeline anyways!)

ok! first off, SEASON 3 INITIALLY DIDNT GET AIRED IN JAPAN ON TV TOKYO, YET WHEN IT DID, THE 4KIDS DUB OF SEASON 3 WAS ALREADY OVER (AND TELEVISED!)

then SECOND, i was thinking giving sonic x something along the lines of "sonic sat@m sea3on" or (and yes i know what your about to say with the second example) "code lyoko: BEYOND"

i mean like, IT COULD WORK! somebody even uploaded THE FULL UNCUT VERSION of sonics character theme from the 4KIDS dub of sonic x IN ITS ENTIRETY! so... yeah!

I was thinking of it being a fan made season 4 and onwards (Ala sea3on)
