modern sonic not working for some reason

so i got the modern sonic mod for srb2 i cannot do the homing attack, or boost neither can i see the HUD i do not know how to fix this yes i have the latest version of srb2, yes i have tried to comment on the discussion thread for the mod but it has been closed, i do not know how to fix this can somebody help me

use the latest srb2 version.

The latest version of Modern Sonic is more than one year old. I think some changes have been to SRB2’s LUA in the last few updates, causing the mod to become incompatible.

(Most likely scenario is that it uses a function that has since been deprecated.)

its a simple fix i had this issue back in the 2.2.8 days just edit the lua a bit and your good

Tell him what to edit.
That response is useless without any elaboration regardless of someone's proficiency in LUA.
Anyone could make the connection that they could modify the file themselves to fix the issues, but figuring out what to fix would be another monster.

oh damn nevermind I think they updated the lua cuz it was pretty self explanatory when 5.11 came out mb

i think these can be fixed with commands listed on the mod page

it sounds like these commands might be turned off for some reason. just switch them back on in the console and you should be good.

Homingattack: Used to toggle the Homing Attack. Use On/Off

Actionswap: Used to switch the Custom1 and spin actions. Use On/Off

Hudstyle: Used to change the style of the HUD you use. Use 0-7

They shouldn't be normally, must be some quirk with an update or something.
