This thread is all about my WIP racing zones that I was working on them. This is for my Double Gear Pack, which I've done 2 other maps done. First, I have 6 maps that have their layout finished, but nothing else.

WIP 1:

Curvy all around, has 3 trick panels, and a supposed Half Pipe segment.

WIP 2:

Bit short, also curvy. Maybe swimming at the end?

WIP 3:

Has a loop, some tricky turns, a drop, and also 2 trick panels.

WIP 4:

A remake of my old kart map that I never released, only a bit shorter.

WIP 5:

More complex than the others, lots of 90 decree turns, and has a teleporter at the end to bring you at the start.

WIP 6:

A sprint map, has ice, and a supposed "fake out" at the end of the second segment. (I was listening to Mount Wario from Mario Kart 8 when I made this, as this is the music for this map, with the music changing as you go.)

More details about them later, at a future date...

Aright, I've completed 2 maps that has their layout and stuff done a month ago, but never added texture details to them. Introducing...

Hyudoro Ruinsway Zone...

And Rancid Machinery Zone!

Both maps are indeed completed and are going to be in the Double Gear Cup as the Second and Third rounds respectfully. All I needed to do is to find some music... Which brings the maps to 4 out of 5. WIP 4 is also going to be in part of the Double Gear Cup as well. I'll revel the name and theme later. (Heck, I've got 2 more weeks until I release Double Gear Pack V2.0.)

Alright, Double Gear Pack V2 is coming out tomorrow. As for the name and theme for WIP 4...

It's none other than Omashu from Avatar: The Last Airbender!

Alrighty guys, the year's nearly over, it's time for a info dump!

To start, Double Gear Pack v3.0 will include a replacement map, and a brand new cup (including a Sealed Star)! Also there will be battle maps as well.

As for the tracks themselves, WIP 1 is now Lost Rainforest Zone. I'm not proud of the ending segment, so I'll remake it. But for now here's a in-dev screenshot.

And for the replacement map... If you played a certain zone from a certain SRB2 Map Pack, then it'll make you thirsty for some soda...

Now, if I made Sandopolis Zone become non-mega, then I wonder what would happen if I touch on Ice Cap Zone...?

Oh yeah, Mission Street will be here too. But it's in a draft state right now.

So right now, v3.0 will have 6-8 more race maps, along with 4 new battle maps. So yes, you'll get a another full cup to play with. But what if I told you that I have consents for more map ideas in v4.0...

And that's about it.

A few months ago, my laptop broke down. So, there's that. And even though I still have the files and whatnot, I can't even be bothered to continue. Or would I...?

Just Ring Racers, mind you. I have no interest in backporting my maps into SRB2Kart because I was done with that game. Maybe I can start doing maps for Ring Racers again.
