it shouldnt be called n64 mario if it doesnt have the n64 mario moveset, just call it mario, the other mario mod is more n64 than this one

it's called n64 mario because it's designed after the promotional renders used by nintendo at the time, and the other mario references most of (if not all of) mario's platformers.
you're aware that the n64 didn't just have sm64, right? even if Rueven wanted to make an sm64 mario, he probably would've used the model from the game rather than a promotional model used for the entire lifespan of the n64

Dude, it's not meant to match the gameplay. It's meant to match the promotional renders. I thought you would be paying enough attention to notice that the sprites looked nothing like the SM64 model. It literally doesn't say it's meant to be SM64. It says N64. It's meant to match the N64 era promotional renders.

the promo renders dont have movesets tho, also why would it use the low poly model for hand drawn sprites, obviously its gonna use the render models

I know what your talking about. N64 Mario is Just A 3D Promotional model. SM64 has a blocky version of Mario. they don't have the same moveset but they have the same game flair. also I am excited for N64 Luigi. they have separate models. what I meant by "same moveset" this Mario doesn't have the long jump.

Mods aren't under the obligation to perfectly live up to your expectations.
The mod isn't trying to be an SM64 Mario. While the only mainline Mario game on the N64 was indeed SM64, that doesn't mean this mod has to anchor itself and be an SM64 Mario. The creator is entitled to include and leave out any moves they like, and it doesn't matter because it's still not trying to be a perfect 1:1 SM64 Mario.
Enjoy the mod for what it is instead of whining about it not being what you wanted.

I will be that guy to agree with him. Promo Mario fits better than N64 Mario. What comes to mind when you hear N64 Mario? SM64 and Mario tennis and Mario golf 64. Promo Mario fits better. (SRB2MB strikes again with not respecting peoples opinions. SMH)
