There is but its mods. If you want truly vanilla then probably cheats. if no cheats and purely vanilla for real gameplay then none. Use PC if you have one with SRB2 on it or raise your skill on mobile.

You're not alone -- Sonic being too slippery is a common complaint. We intend to address it in some major update down the line. Try enabling auto brake if it isn't already, otherwise you might want to look into physics mods such as Xmomentum. I don't use those myself so I can't point to any in particular, unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply, and, I wouldn't think it would be too bad, except for the fact that I'm using the touchscreen, (though I do think that characters do accelerate too quickly), actually the main reason I want to lower the characters speed is so that it feels even more like a Saturn/PS1 game.
