How do I get addons to work properly?

Okay, so, im having some problems with the Addons. The game comes as an executable, no files able to be opened, and by looking through some replies, it says to put the addon in the game files. I cant do this because it wont let me due to my copy coming as an executable, no files included for me to add the addon into. Can I get some help fixing this?
 
If you're on Windows and your game has a shortcut on your Desktop, right click on it and then "Open file location". The game's folder should then open.
