what do you think about coming official sonic games ?

let's face the truth, Colors DS is Rush 3 without Blaze nor the trick system and Sonic 2006 is Adventure 3 because of how many elements it shared with SA1 and SA2.

Even people outside of the Sonic fanbase are agreeing upon it.

PS: Forces is literally Generations 2 as it brought back Classic Sonic and was an anniversary game (the Avatar is just added).
I'm not upset, I'm just making my point. Again, gameplay formula a numbered sequel does not make. It doesn't matter how many people agree otherwise or whether they are in the fanbase, majority opinion does not equate to fact. If a game is not titled "Rush 3" or "Adventure 3" or "Generations 2" then that is not the game it is. Titles denote subdivisions within sub-series/sagas, not gameplay formulas. If they make a new Adventure styled game and call it "Sonic Conquest" or something, that game is not Adventure 3. If they make a new boost formula game and call it "Sonic Adventure 3" then like it or not, that game is Adventure 3.

Classic Sonic is what's added in Forces, not the Avatar. Modern Sonic and the Avatar are both plot important, Classic Sonic has no reason to exist. He doesn't have any relevant impact on the story at all whatsoever. Just because he was used before in Generations doesn't change this. He's only in because Generations was popular and they wanted to cash in on that popularity.

People are really desperate for a Sonic Adventure 3...
Why they can't just accept it won't happen? like, we already have sonic 2006 or sonic heroes, those are enough.

Exactly, it makes people sound entitled and nothing more than beggars...
No matter what game / saga it is, the fans will always ask for what they want, then there is the developer, in this case SEGA, which decides whether or not to do fanservice.

In my case, I consider Sonic Adventure "3" as a promising title and that it can make Sonic's name carry weight (just like Mania did). It may be considered insane by many, but there are good reasons for it to happen.

1) I don't expect them to make up for the expectation (like how Valve's HL3 will always disappoint people who wanted more).
2) Sonic Adventure is a thing of the past, they shouldn't just make a game for the nostalgia just for the sake of it... Mania is how you make nostalgia.

Yeah, It would be terrible if they made a SA3 just for fan service. But I still hope a Mania 2 is coming to us someday

Mania is no exception, using multiple previously seen zones like Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Stardust Speedway, Fliying Battery, Lava Reef, Oil Ocean, Hidrocity and Metallic Madness is like it was made for just that, it's almost like when it happened Sonic Generations. The game itself added new levels, but despite that, it feels such critical use lately that SEGA always uses Classic Sonic.

I'd be glad to answer if I could understand what you're saying.

I think he's saying that Sonic Mania was too attatched to nostalgia with the classic zones. This shows that Sega is always appealing to nostalgia and can't do anything new.

I don't speak spanish, I speak portuguese, but Spanish and Portuguese are quite similar, so I think it's a decent translation

I don't care whether or not a game called "Sonic Adventure 3" comes out but I would very much like to see a Sonic game that is an actual fully 3D platformer rather than the kinda pseudo-racing game style of the boost games.
Obviously I would be happy to see Adventure remakes since those game are classics to me but I don't think it's happening.
My hope is that Sega will keep the 2D games and 3D games in their own separate lanes from now on instead of trying to shove a half-assed version of Classic Sonic into the 3D titles.

Thanks for translating back.

Also don't forget that Mania is an anniversary game and that the basis of the game, Sonic Discovery, was meant to be only the 4 original zones of Mania.

Be glad we got great remixes of old zones (especially stuff like Flying Battery which is much better than the original).

For the upcoming game I hope Sega will stop trying to make a AAA or AA game and focus on making a simpler but better game.

I would prefer a mix of everything that the fanbase likes, although it is not convenient, it is the most successful, and well, it is not something too crazy.
