Its sad to know how even highly experimented developers and mappers, had textures issues. It looks it IS a really common issue. Wonder how do they create Vanilla maps when updating the game. Do they use Zone Builder? cuz if they do, the program has a lot of mapping issues to fix, cuz its really often to see missing textures, or which arent being properly rendered, showing the one from the other side instead, creating a "Hall of Mirror" by consecuence

we are all humans. and developers as well. it's okay that we make mistakes. and it's good that we can fix them.
 
The problem isnt the issue with the textures themselves. The problem is the fact when the program starts to not properly show the textures often when you map, and Specially when you gotta move the whole area and reacommodate the linedef and textures, and still being there, and no one can tell why are they so common. This isnt a human error. This is an error from ZB itself, at least for maps like mine, or a lot of another that has the same issue, that it happens really often

I can agree. Zone builder is a strange program. on a personal example, I have met with this more than once. for example, in the same place the texture was deleted FIVE TIMES. I do not know what it is connected with. just for example. something just DOESN'T WORK until you re-create the sector. this is strange.

I think we need to create a separate topic if we want to discuss this.
 
Egg Rock Zone 2 has remained largely the same since its debut in version 2.0. It's a pretty big map and not much attention has been invested into upkeeping it, so texture issues like these are easy for developers to miss!
