- Modify: YES - Maintain: YES - I give permission for my entire submission to be modified by others or used in their own work. I give permission for my entire submission to be maintained by others as well.
That's right, a standalone release of that one stage from OLDC 2024 R1! And this time, it actually didn't suck, crazy!
Yeah, I'm honestly really happy how this stage got received, quite a few people liked it! Some even loved it! And honestly, it really did warm my heart to see that type of reception for the stage. I hope I can still deliver for everyone in the future. I have big plans, don't you worry.
As you may or may not already know, this stage is for a mappack I've started dev on called "Plan Pollution", so this map is definitely part of a story, however it's not fully finished yet, so expect some new stuff for this map in the future.
As for now though, I didn't change much, just a few minor tweaks, biggest change I did to this version compared to the OLDC one is that the workers now actually have a brain, so don't expect them to be too friendly now.
Biggest reason I'm releasing this standalone though, like I did last time with my OLDC stage, is to make it reusable, this time though, there is some actual lua, such as a neat spring powerup I coded (the code's a bit crappy though lol, it's one of my earlier luas), and the workers if you're interested in them.
However, as a note for this reusability, keep in mind, there is some story for some assets here and there, which will be included in the mappack. This mostly applies to the workers, since they have a big significance for the mappack's story, so keep that in mind if you want to directly rip them with their sprites (though honestly considering how their sprites look, I dunno why you would do that lol).
But it is still fully reusable, so if you do wanna go ahead and do this nonetheless, no sweat, I'm not bothered it at all. Just as a note for anyone who may want to reuse some assets from this map, and do not want their map to be associated with mine. Usually though, people probably wouldn't notice, at least for now.
A few credits:
Othius - the banger ass skybox
John Tay - the banger ass music (specifically Flying Battery Act 1 - Alternate)
Enjoy the map! In a standalone state! So cool!
