If there was one character from the Archie Comics you would bring to the main canon, who would you pick?
The answer for me is Shard the Metal Sonic. From his endearing concept of being a reformed Metal Sonic, to the way he rocks the sleek Mach 3.0 design from Rivals better than the bot it was made for, Shard's endearing, sassy and reckless personality have won my interest as one of the best characters from the old comics.
This character mod is a simple one, featuring Shard sprite art I drew myself with my admittedly novice ability, and some slightly edited sounds. Shard's rivals are Metal Sonic, Sonic and Silver, with the third being a reference to his arc as Silver's argumentative teammate in the Secret Freedom Fighters.
How does he drive a kart with one of his arms being a cannon? I don't know either.
