Starlight's Star pack V6: A new beginning

so... I think you've seen the new name and ask.. "what's going on? what's with the new name?"

well, as an attempt to make this pack feel more... special going forward

I've decided to basically soft reboot the pack

everything I thought was unnecessary was removed

pokemon followers

homer

and turtwig won't be seen in this pack until they get v2's

alongside this

frost makes his debut

hopefully you all will continue to support the pack as I attempt to make it the best it can be

so.. it's been a tiny bit since I've said anything about the current state of this pack

yes, yes. I did miss the anniversary of the pack

i do have a small update planed for it which will be.. v6

this update will likely contain two characters and some followers

alongside some roster cuts

for real

turtwig, homer, and B will all be removed from the pack entirely with no plans for their original versions to return to this pack

why do this?


well I'll be honest

it's because I want this pack to feel fresh

homer honestly isn't something I wanna keep around anymore since I know it'll be a long time before I give him a v2 and turtwig is gonna be saved for... something else in the future

besides that

i would like to say that... V6 will be the last update for a good while for real..

why?

because I wanna shift my focus to my other more neglected packs and also the sonic Collab

but hopefully... the final two characters will be a good note to end the pack on for now

frost being one of the two

the other one is specifically made for the pack turning 1 and kinda makes fun at one of the first characters made for the pack

well that's it for now

I have hopes to release this update before the month is over

yeah this is probably becoming a trend with me

releasing smaller updates like these and stuff

but I mostly did this because of how my PC is acting as of now

I don't have the means to get a new one currently but I've basically been playing it safe so that's why this update is out sooner and with less content

enjoy the v2s and duck at least

so.. with the fact that this pack is gonna turn 1 in like


a month..

I've basically been pushing myself to make the next BIG update

it might take until August to even get done

but I've gotten another character ready for that update and it's...

this guy honestly didn't need this as much as say.. homer or dusknoir, but I say it was a character that deserved a v2

and another thing.. this won't be the last odd choice in this update ..

i got one more....

this is mostly because I wanna make a pretty big update that's ready in time for the pack's first anniversary in August

I'm not entirely sure what the final update roster will be


but I just completed one new character that I wanna show off

my second custom kart character is duck

he has a lot more lua than Acer this time around too- Custom engine sounds, kart husk, and even custom gibs

I have plans for more Thomas characters to arrive in This update

those being... Diesel, and a troublesome truck

so .. it's been a bit since a proper update

so I thought it would be the right time to kinda

do a more v2 centered update next

as the changelog states

Dusknoir

Spongewow, Plankton, and Stupid sonic will receive V2s

and for the newbies..

Comic Orange, a Troublesome truck

and maybe the nerd Waddle Dee (it's honestly more original than what I was gonna do

I plan for this update to be ready by late June if anything

i gotta focus on the last M&M's Ring Racing update anyway

so-

I finally fixed some stuff and removed some stuff

basically this update removes

the M&M's

and the starters characters

why?

simple

they were in their own pack and I didn't see the need to keep them in Oddballs anymore

the roster is at a pretty comfortable 15 characters at the moment and will most likely bump up to 20 pretty soon..

I also fixed the dynamite Derby support bonus that's in the individuals download

that's basically it

so... I might as well inform people before I make this change but

there will be massive roster cuts in the next update

who will be cut?

the M&M's and the starters characters

why?

simple, because they don't need to be in this pack when they have their own character packs

I'll probably put out a hotfix where it's in the individuals download only as I intended
