For a while, I was dissatisfied with how my Monster Hunter pack went out. There was something off with the monsters here being all crunched up looking, so I decided to do something about it in this long awaited major update!
Thanks to Guil's big kartmaker template, Both Zinogre and Rathalos now have new bigger and better sprites! However, they still retain their current sounds from the previous updates.
"What about Nargacuga and Tigrex?" Unfortunately I decided to remove those two from the pack since I did not feel like respriting those two at all during the planning of the update, I only planned to do it with Zinogre and then Rathalos so this pack only has those two for now. I do not plan to re-add Nargacuga in a future update at all since I disliked his incarnation in Ring Racers for a long while (main reason why I stopped using this pack). Not sure if I'll ever do a resprite of Tigrex in the future as I may replace those two with more favored monsters if I ever feel like adding to this pack again (Which is very unlikely but speaking of which there has absolutely been no newcomer here ever since Tigrex's addition from 1 year ago). However, you are free to grab their individual files from the older version "v1.7 Redo" if you want to continue using them but they won't be a big as the other two still in the pack.
CHANGES:
- Because of the removal of both Nargacuga and Tigrex, both Zinogre and Rathalos will now be rivals with each other, but they retain their other two previous rivals as well.
- Rathalos has been restated to S5-W3 because I realized that just because a character is large and powerful doesn't mean they should have Class I stats.
- Both Zinogre and Rathalos now have working designs signposts like all of my other character packs do!
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
From this update and forward, Individual character file downloads are no longer available for this pack. Meaning that only the full pack is downloadable.
Why you may ask?
Exact same reason with String Spit Pack, maintaining two exact copies of the same character with one being in a full pack and one being all by themselves in a wad file was a lot of tedious work, especially when I have to do a quick hotfix on any characters even over the smallest problems! With the individuals being removed, it will be much easier to maintain the characters in just one pack and higher quality updates should happen more often now for this pack!
I started to regret adding individual downloads a few months ago before this update dropped since having to maintain 2 copies was pointless to me anyways, so I decided to remove them.
I also want all of my characters to have an equal usage rate with each other, it makes it where every character in the pack has a chance of being used by a player when the pack is being used on a server and it guarantees that all characters in the pack will be present (not that many people use this pack in netgames anymore).
Individual file requests will NOT be accepted for this pack, even if I add more characters to the pack in any future updates!I had an absolute blast remaking these guys, and so far they took the longest to make out of every single character I've made for Ring Racers!
I say all of this as I spend over 7 hours of early hotfixes on the sprites and make sure each sprite frame aligns perfectly with each other to the point where I make a contraption that detects misaligned pixels and stuff
I pretty much fucked with the latest update of the pack. So I came here to make some small changes:
- Nargacuga is BACK ON! Though he's still unchanged (v1.5). But I do plan a resprite of him in the near future.
- Reverted Rathalos' rivals back to his v1.5 rival set now that Nargacuga is back.
- Reverted the rename from "DC_MHZR_v1.7.pk3" to "DC_MonsterHunter_ZennyRacers_v1.7.pk3" again to make it way more easier for people to recognize the pack (and probably gain interest in people joining a server that had these guys in, since one time last year this addon was growing pretty popular amongst all my other addons and was put in a lot of listen servers for a week long).
- I don't plan on adding any followers to the pack anymore after a year of it's existence, so the unused follower category graphic was removed from the pack. May return with a different design when I change my mind
- Unfortunately I decided to fully remove Navirou since he felt very unfitting for the pack to me. Feel free to grab his individual in the older versions if you want to continue using him!
- Added MODINFO.txt as it is required for all updated addons
Nothing else was changed much, I just wanted to fix up the stuff I regretting doing with the pack. I do plan to add more monsters in a future update once I feel like making stuff again.

After a few months, I finally finished making a Rathalos re-sprite in which I wanted to do for months since I found his older sprites to be uncanny. Now the has his wings wrapped around the wheel! (Though it's gonna look weird at first since I wanted to make him in my own art-style and all of us were used to him having this wings spread open for a while now)
Also if you have noticed: Nargacuga and Navirou have been removed from the full pack (mainly because I felt uncomfortable with them in the pack and always typed inexitlevelthe moment I saw them, still felt iffy against Nargacuga despite me removing the off-chart stats a while ago and Naivrou just doesn't seem to fit in the pack) But they're not completely gone! You can still play with them in the individual downloads zip inside the "Bonus Chars" folder! I mainly did this because many people actually liked these characters during a time where the addon grew slight popularity for a week and would've sucked if those two were gone completely.
Also the custom gibs have been removed since Fav said that the script used would become obsolete by the time v2.4 comes out.
And finally: The pack name has been shortened to "MHZR"

This small update gives the 4 available monsters actual death sprites (instead of a large carve sprite), as well as custom gibs of their old death sprites thanks to Fav's Kart Lua! (The custom gibs are likely temporary since Fav said that the script will be obsolete once DRRR v2.4 comes around)
NOTE: None of the individuals will have this lua loaded, You must use the full addon if you want to see these custom gibs!
Fang has been replaced with a different rival for each monster that had him as a rival.
And that's all I have for this update. I don't plan on adding anything new here for a while...
This extremely minor update nerfs Nargacuga, removing his off-chart stats and putting him back at Speed 9. I mainly did this because replays desync whenever he's featured in one of them.
I would count this update as yet another hotfix since there's not really much changes here.
Other Changes:
- Nargacuga's third rival is now Bomb
- Fixed Tigrex's spinout sprites
HF3: I somehow forgot to layer one of the lookback sprites on Tigrex. Downloading this addon again will fix it!
(I also took the opportunity to make it's gloat.ogg even louder!)
HF1: Apparently I accidentally copied over Nargacuga's OLD signpost to the newer version after the color remaps. This has been fixed and you should be seeing the new signpost again.
HF2: I had to go find the non-green signpost sprite to color remap it again. Oh my god
This addon has been rebranded. It was formerly known as "MonstiePak" (or MonsitePak_RideOn if lua). Now I decided to rename the addon to make it a bit more recognizable. This addon will from now on be known as "Monster Hunter: Zenny Racers"

Finally after 2 months, I decided to add in another monster to the roster: Tigrex, the Roaring Wyvern. While being well known to produce extremely loud roars, this Tigrex was trained to keep his roars at a moderate volume.
And for the other changes:
- Unfortunately Barroth has been removed from the roster due to many sprite errors, back to the stables he goes to make way for Tigrex!
- All custom colors have been removed, meaning that the two characters that relied on their custom color as their default now have to use the vanilla colors. Nargacuga now uses Jet and Navirou now uses Cream

- Nargacuga's third rival is Metal Sonic instead of Rouge. His speed was also nerfed from 11 to 10
- I will no longer be releasing the lua-less version of this pack, since I'd be updating 3 versions of the same character in every release, so with the discontinuation of the lualess version, I now have 2 versions to keep track of.
- The monsters had their minimap icons improved.
- Color Narga renamed to PouncingShadow
- Zinogre now has a new Wanted icon
- Both Zinogre and Rathalos now have a smaller death sprite
- Color Wilds was redone into a more lime-green to blue to purple like gradient.
Still no new follower for now...
This update adds in new signposts for the first three monsters introduced in the addon (Zinogre, Rathalos, and Nargacuga) which are way better than their previous signposts.

This was originally going to be a major v2.0 update but unfortunately I got burnt out after finishing the new signposts.
What about the other changes that made it into the modpack?
- Changed something that was bothering me with Rathalos' minimap icon
- Barroth's third rival is now Zipp instead of Fries
- Navirou has a new minimap icon
