Okay so I've been itching to do one final update on this pack for a long time, but wasn't able to do it a lot sooner since apparently my main PC decided to hit a fuse a few weeks earlier, so I had to start fresh but my new PC won't even run the game, so I had to preform this update on a completely different computer. Plus, I'm feeling less motivated in Ring Racers (I'm way more active on vanilla Sonic Robo Blast 2 now) so unfortunately this will be the final update until further notice. This is more of a hotfix patch but here is what has changed:
![]()
SPEED SLIDER - Attempted to fix issue where bots could get stuck on the tips of the ramps if pushed back somehow.
GLOWSTICK CITY - Fixed a glowstick that wasn't supposed to be blending into the light.
SUBMERGED MARINA - Somehow getting flung past the finish line will now count as a lap.
SPINARAK PARADISE - Bots can now preform better on the Rainbow Ring sector and failing it won't result in an instant death pit respawn anymore. There are two new people on the secret path, also the story has been replaced.
Downloads for "v3: The Game Has Changed" are no longer available.
It's been a while since I last updated this map pack, but if Win Token Cup had a successful revamp earlier, then this map pack should get one as well. This was supposed to be released earlier but the Message Board was down, delaying the update a bit.
This update updates ALL of the maps with some having minor adjustments and improvements while some maps got all new layouts as well with some new maps joining in the pack! With the additional maps being added, the new Spinarak Cup was formed (oh yeah I also made Motobug Cup green too).
![]()
But first, let's go over the maps that got minor changes before moving on to the big changes
Kodachrome Arena: Increased the size of the playing area that was normally restricted in Prison Break.
Skyscraper Arena: Reduced the height of the tall buildings in the center, and those same buildings will crumble as well in Overtime.
Nintendo DS: Optimized the file size, I kinda forgot what I changed here.
Duocircle Marina: Encore Mode now has a proper remap.
Motobug Beach: Replaced the springs sector with a 2-way path.
Submerged Marina: Tripwire cut now properly earn you the checkpoint. I'm sorry, but I don't think I can maintain this map no longer, so expect this to be the last update for this map.
Route Gate: Re-textured a majority of the map, Lap Count reduced from 100 to 60 to ensure an average Gear 2 match finishes in at least 3 minutes instaed of 5 minutes. Removed the rings in the path to reduce lag.
Motobug Tracks: More Motobugs should come out of the dispensers now instead of being completely empty around 3 minutes.
Deep Sea: Added dash rings to the last part of the map that help you down if the wall stops you. Shrunk the spikes as well so stumbling is less to occur now. Also replaced the music to just the ones that played in SRB2 Legacy.
With the minor updates out of the way, let's go over the revamped maps next! Unlike Win Token Cup, only a small selection of maps here had to be redone. Maps that have been revamped will have their time attacks reset.

Speed Slider: Now looks more accurate to the actual level from Knuckles' Chaotix. Shares many similarities to the core game's Ramp Park where you'd go up several ramps in a certain angle and acid drop onto the next platform. Lap count increased to 3.
Lovely Leaps 3rd Remix: Very similar layout, but the Trick Panels have been replaced with regular springs since bots tend to preform atrocious on Trick Panels.
Glowstick City: The Go and Stop signs you'll find on the floor now function slightly different than usual Sneaker Panels and Strong Offroad. Go Signs will thrust you forward much more now but Stop Signs can easily slow your momentum now! Also, every single death pit has been replaced with the Uncanny Cat jumpscare that'll instantly kill you the moment you fall onto them!
Bata-Pyon Circuit: Now has a similar layout to N64 Mario Raceway, since that's what Wacky Workbench's "P" Mix's theme actually reminded me of the most. However, since I loved the old layout so much, I decided to spare it as a separate "Classic" map (Replays and Records from Bata-Pyon Circuit before v3 will be carried over to here). Also, the big blue Bata-Pyon now laughs at you if you get hit by one of the blue springs.
Spinarak Paradise: The biggest updated map yet amongst all maps in this pack mainly because this map is heavily involved with lore for String Spit Pack and some of my other stuff. Bigger map means lots of more Spinarak to avoid while driving through the islands' forest! Can you find the same Spinarak you've met in Route Gate to hear his story? Also, this map was moved to Spinarak Cup as the first map in the cup.
And for the new maps, 2 more were added and will reside in Spinarak Cup!

Yellow Block Road: Remember MEGA ON-OFF Switch Palace that was added all the way from January 18th, 2025? This is them now. At the end of each lap, there is one big yellow switch you can try to fast-fall on to alternate the paths with the yellow blocks! It has a 10-second cooldown for each use. Watch out for Toadlets and Mallet Bros!
Nova Shrine Zone: The battle version of Nova Shrine Zone. There aren't regular springs around here, use Puffer Bubbles to make it across gaps instead!
Not sure if I'll count Bata-Pyon Circuit Classic as a new map, but it's going to Spinarak Cup as well.
And that'll be it for this update, I've spent weeks on improving these maps, so I hope the update was worth it! It'll take a little while for the overview pack to be revamped so rely on this update page in the meantime!

Happy first update of year to this pack! This update adds "Deep Sea Zone" from Sonic Robo Blast 2 as a Race Map. After playing vanilla SRB2 for a while, Deep Sea Zone was my favorite level in the game, so I decided to turn it into a map for Ring Racers. This map has plenty of water currents and a few mandatory switches to press to progress in each lap! Good luck on trying to SPB Run this though.
Oh, and for the other changes to the pack? As you can see, this map pack has been renamed to Green Stapler Maps
- Updated the billboard advertising this pack that appeared in older maps.
![]()
- In Spinarak Paradise, a lot of more Spinaraks have been placed onto the map, including a lot of them on the ground! (Try finding the largest one there!)
![]()
- Glowstick City now plays sound effects when interacting with certain map elements in there.
- Route Gate now has another music track it can play. As well as updating Spinarak's interaction sprites there too!
- The newly added Deep Sea Zone will appear as the final map for Stapler Cup, bringing it back to 5 maps.

This update adds in 1 new battle map, Motobug Tracks! (It's been about a year since I last created a battle-only map.) It is the 2nd bonus round in Motobug Cup (replacing Angel Arrow Arena).
In this map, there are four inaccessible tunnels you can see on the map. Those are where the Motobugs will spawn in from!
![]()
Every often, one tunnel will randomly dispense a large amount of Motobugs swiftly moving to the other side. The lane they will drive across will be highlighted to warn players to get out quick before the swarm is unleashed! Going on the grass will ensure that you'll be safe from getting hit by any of the Motobugs.
By overtime, All dispensers will attempt to release all of their remaining Motobugs in all four lanes in all directions (expect strays!)
Each dispensers have enough Motobugs to last 3 minutes (the default time limit for Battle) in rotation before they eventually run out of them to dispense!
OTHER CHANGES:
- Fixed Glowstick City's first tripwire shortcut to where you'll very more likely drop into the hole instead of getting out of the sector right away.
- Lovely Leaps Remix 3's slope platforms have been extended, making it easier to balance on them!
- Added MODINFO.txt (From now on, every addon of mine I update (even a hotfix) will have a modinfo text file inside them)
This extremely minor update patches up all the missing textures/visuals in the latest "Spinarak Paradise" map, as well as giving very minor changes to some maps that needed them.
Other Changes:
- Duocircle Marina now have larger ring capsules since previously they were insanely tiny and almost unnoticeable.
- Removed the Horizontal Springs from Bata-Pyon Circuit (They were mainly used against stuck bots that attempted to trap other players in Ring Shooters, but they were removed because they were sabotaging the players that tried making a comeback to 1st. Bots that end up being stuck are very less likely going to use the Ring Shooter and if they happen to do so, they'll very unlikely catch other players in them)
- Glowstick City now has new position music

DRRR v2.4 is around the corner, so I also decided to update these maps as well to ensure they work properly for v2.4.
Also, this map pack will be known as "Stapler Maps" from now on.
Since v2.4 is resetting records, I was able to safely make some big changes to most of maps without having to impact record times. Some maps have major changes in which you may have to memorize those maps again.
All race maps except Duocircle Marina and Route Gate now have two checkpoint spaces. Most of the map thumbnails also updated.
Also, the new race map, Spinarak Paradise has been added in to the pack and will reside in Motobug Cup
MAP CHANGES:
Most of these are minor changes but some maps got major changes. I made sure to carefully inspect all of them to avoid any future hotfixes
Kodachrome Arena: The small prison eggs on the corners of the playing area have their size tripled, making it easier to hit them
Skyscraper Arena: Decreased count on Prison Eggs and made them all spawn in the higher buildings
Nintendo DS: Due to how battle items spawn, Only 1 item box appears in the bottom screen instead of 6 due to it being very easy for players to farm Chaos Emeralds and possibly winning without even going to the top screen.
Duocircle Marina: Drastically widened the bridge platforms to reduce balancing and to ensure that it's much easier to finish the map without falling off. Lap Count was increased to 8 (Playing on Gear 1 will revert it back to normal)
Speed Slider: Removed the tripwire at the end of the map since it kept pushing players to blind spots
Lovely Leaps Remix 3: Removed the tripwire section due to it being hard to properly perform a left or up trick without falling off into the water right after. Added a Fastfall sign at the first jump to help players who are new to this map pack
Glowstick City: Replaced the spring sector at the beginning with a tripwire shortcut that leads you into a hole. Instead, you can now go directly to the walk sign panels. Slope skewed the textures. Added lots of more rings
Motobug Beach: The tripwire swapped places because it was blocking off the more free area over a tight space, Added more Motobugs and moved some of them to different places, Changed offroad since the current one softened up, Added more tiny grey springs so the bots won't be stuck and be tempted to respawn, Also the water is now more blue.
Bata-Pyon Circuit: Gave an sunset vibe to the aesthetic of the map.
Submerged Marina: Fixed floating rings and brought them back down to the ground
Route Gate: A completely new conversation has been added to the map replacing the old one (in which I fucked up on), The picture displayed finally reveals the new map in which players will be sent to right after the round (on Grand Prix obviously). Also, Stapy is now green like he was always supposed to be, and brought over his good friend, Spinarak.
Also, if you're wondering why Angel Arrow Island and MEGA ON-OFF Switch Palace aren't listed here, that's because they were removed from the pack due to their unplayability. Angel Arrow Island had a lot of problems such as the water behaving as a solid and players would lose all of their bumpers in less than a minute without having anyone attack them due to very little space available after performing a trick. And MEGA ON-OFF Switch Palace had players constantly bump into the On-Off switches, guaranteeing a fall out every time other players attempt to cross the dotted line blocks and the higher amount of players means the worse the map could get. So both of those had to go.
Both of the cups have been balanced out to ensure that they both have 6 total maps in them due to the removal of the previously 2 mentioned maps.

This update improves some of the already existing maps, as well as re-theming them as well. Still burned out from making brand new maps.
Duocircle Marina: Now has a skybox with a night-time aesthetic + new music.
Speed Slider: Now has a skybox and raining confetti. Fixed some texture issues
Glowstick City: Improved red spring section, Improved traffic section, and added a tripwire area
Mega ON-OFF Switch Palace: Rethemed the Encore Pallete and made Red and Blue dotted line blocks switch places in Encore Mode
Bata-Pyon Circuit: Improved evening aesthetic, Added a floor to on the trick panel section to avoid soft-lock
Angel Arrow Island: Made the flowing water on the island push you off the map. (Unfortunately there is still no way to stop the water from behaving as a solid, even with Sidedef Action 120 put on them)
This update gives some slight changes to some of the recent maps.
Mega ON-OFF Switch Palace: The bots can now take the blue paths! They will also know when to change paths the moment the switches are pressed
Motobug Beach: Improved respawn sectors on the Blue Spring section, Smoother slopes on the end loop, made sure you don't respawn directly ontop of that one motobug.
Bata-Pyon Circuit: Ensured the bots know how to use the trick shortcut
Submerged Marina: Fixed issue with 3D renderers being able to see the sidedefs of the respawn lines in race mode

This update only adds in one map (No updates to the other existing maps, Sorry!) to the pack.
Map Name: Route Gate
- Compatible in both Race and Battle modes
- 100 laps long! (I PROMISE IT IS SHORTER THAN DEATH EGG, IT'S JUST A STRAIGHT LINE)
- Meet a familiar face monitoring the gate
- More players equals WAY more chaos yet shorter round
