There was a comma in every single MODINFO lump where there shouldn't have been. Apparently this was serious enough that attempting to load this mod or any of its component parts in 2.4 caused a crash.

It's gone now. That's it. That's the update. Go away.
Also there was a .bak file in the individuals zip for some reason.
A release candidate for Ring Racers 2.4 has been made available!

I am proud to announce that the current version of exeChars is already 2.4 compliant! Metadata is included in the main file and all files found in the individuals download.

That's it, that's the post. A proper update will come eventually, I promise.
NEW CHARACTER: Dan Hibiki

eshoptiger.gif

Stats: 2 speed/1 weight (same as Tails Doll)
Default colour: Orange
Rivals: None because I couldn't think of any
Voice: Sounds from the 3DS eShop, plus the 3DS error sound effect
(yes i know i'm not the first to do this, go check out -Compendium-'s version here if you want)

OTHER CHANGES
  • eggbreaker.exe
    • The signpost has (finally) been completely redrawn! :wow:
    • Removed some antialiasing from the minimap icon because it wound up not looking as good as I thought it would in game.
    • Removed delay from the rest of the voiceclips because it turned out they were all slightly delayed.
    • Renamed the audio files to all be 6 characters long. The audio prefix is unchanged.
  • Other
    • Reorganised the files since it's a pack now.
    • Added metadata in case 2.4 comes out before I make another character.
    • Added an individuals zip for people who aren't interested in my self insert.
  • Cool!
Reactions: Quattro
- Some voiceclips had a slight but noticable delay I didn't catch at export. This is no longer the case.
- Fixed some inconsistencies in sprites where the head was facing frontward. They should all be consistent and symmetrical now.
- Changed the hurt sprite so that the back facing ones look different from idle. It's not much, but it's better than what it was.
