Crash Team Racing arrives at Dr. Robotnik's Ring Racers!

A pack containing two new cup, the Wumpa Cup and the Nitro Cup, including 8 Race Tracks and 4 Battle Maps from the classic Naughty Dog game Crash Team Racing. Each Track and Battle Map comes with two songs, the original one and the remixes from Nitro-Fueled, chosen at random at the start of the track! Also with custom starting race song!

All the tracks are base on their original incarnations with some added decoration and changes from Nitro-Fueled.

The first track of Crash Team Racing is here! The simple beach fill with ships from the evil Dr. Cortex of Crash Cove, with two Shortcuts! Made to 4 laps so it can be a bit longer!

The classic one where you used the fisics at your advantage to jump, now adapted to the style of the game.

One of the best tracks in the game! The winter tundra of Blizzard Bluff comes with all it's shortcuts intact!

The one in the start was made into a tripwire shortcut to be more fair for everyone!

The combo shortcut of the big jump and fence jumping is also here! The latter made simpler to adapt to the game mecanics. Be careful with the jump shortcut, take it with not enough speed and you will fail it!

And last but not least, here's Coco Park! The shorties of the tracks in Crash Team Racing, complete with it's hills, flowers, tunnel and spectators! With 5 laps so it won't end in 5 seconds!

The only real shortcut in the track is here, with some of the added decorations from Nitro-Fueled to make it more clear that it is a shortcut!

A completely new shortcut! Instead of going left or right on the garden, you can go straight through a Tripwire!

Every Racing Tracks has a hidden box that's very familiar for those who played Nitro-Fueled... Is just a need nod to it! Think you can find them?

There's also secret maps! Think you can find them all? I'm gonna give hints for those!

-Find a secret switch somewhere in Crash Cove, activate it and then go to the famous ship in the shortcut while playing in Grand Prix!
-Find the secret exit somewhere in the audience in Mystery Caves during Grand Prix!
-Do a stroll around Crash Cove while playing alone in Free Play (Match Race without bots or players), maybe you'll find something new there!

Next up are the secret tracks for those who want to know what those are!

The first Area of Adventure Mode is here! Is just a little nod where you can get to the tracks from Wumpa Cup through here. I do plan on doing the whole Adventure map but is not a priority, so enjoy what's now!

Hope you all like my maps! This was so fun to made! The rest of the tracks will come soon enough but for now enjoy the Wumpa and Nitro cups!

as a CTR speedrunner seing the CTR tracks in ringracers makes me happy and my fav cup what is the nitro one seems a good challenge for me to try with gear 3 in encore mode :thumbsup:

I really love this !! I like a lot of the tracks (especially Tiny Temple, i love the bump-y roads) and the secrets made me very excited they're great. Drivin's fun! And i like it a lot. being a full cup to play in Grand Prix is also great

if i were to give any suggestions should you choose to continue this "project" would be uhhh
i think those Little Grey/Yellow Wallsprings would be nice to have on tracks like Tiny Temple and Blizzard Bluff after ramps just to help you from bangin into the walls after a jump. those sound like they'd be nice to have
and maybe more rings on Crash Cove for ringboosts. that might just be a me bias though

but it's very wonderful !! great job

These are *fairly* decent recreations of the CTR tracks, though some of the ramp usage can cause driving to be a lot rougher than it is normally, and this might be nitpicking but wouldn't it make more sense to have the Wumpa Cup have all the Beach Hub's tracks? Roo Tubes, Sewer Speedway, whatever the 4th one was, and as the Special Stage being the Roo Fight? (Assuming it's possible to replace the Special slot with a challenge race...) (with only Skull Rock as the singular Battle Course)

Tracks could be prettier as well but i don't think i'm one to judge at the moment.

You would think the cups in the game should be the zones in Adventure Mode, but they're completely different, not sure why but I'm doing what the original game did. I don't know if we can do "Boss Battles" like in the original game, probably yes but I don't know enough of scripts or lua to do such thing, but that's a great idea honestly! I'm glad you like my work and hope I can improve in every way!

with all issues resolved, this is a terrific map pack

While the maps are okay, they feel like an alpha version. Although the layouts seem fairly accurate on most of the maps, the textures are very bland, the structures are quite simplistic and look quite similar throughout. These maps would benefit from a bit of TLC, perhaps using more elements from the original maps or at least some more variety in the textures.

I also experienced some bugs when playing the maps – sometimes the CPUs would randomly reset themselves, I was randomly reset and taken behind the finish line when I drove close to a wall, the geometry seems slightly broken in certain areas as the character disappears (happened on some of the prison maps).

Overall it feels like a good start and I'm looking forward to seeing improvements.

I would admit one of my weaknesses at map making is decorating, I'm not good at it, but I'll do my best to keep improving! As for the textures, all of those are from the original CTR, but I didn't used all, I'll try to used more next time!

I'll do my best to improve as time goes on and I'm glad you like my work!

Very faithful recreations of the Maps in CTR. For some reason for me the original Crash Cove music ended up being the normal mix for Coco Park so you only got the Nitro Fueled version of Crash Cove for that level.

Hoping the rest of the CTR tracks come after this cause these came out great!

Very fun maps! The layouts stay true to the original tracks and are still fun in Ring Racers!
However, I did notice a bug with Crash Cove. The item boxes after the bridge sometimes can not be picked up. I'm not sure what could be causing this issue, but it is something to look into. Additionally, I noticed that, if done right, the first tripwire (on Crash Cove) can be bypassed without a speed item by jumping off of the nearby ramp with enough speed and the right angle. If this was intended, or you are okay with it, feel free to ignore it.
Once again, very cool addon. I would love to see more CTR maps in the future!

Glad you like it! And I know about the item boxes bug, had it since I first made the map, I tried to fix it but couldn't find how, was told was about how many checkpoints are in between the sets but got not luck there, still gonna try and figure out how to fix it. As for the shortcut, it was totally inteded! Is a way to "be" like the original game!
