V7: The Laser Cup Launch!
It's been a couple of months, but now it's Summer and I figured if I'd like to expand with a new cup! Introducing the newest cup of the CAS Track Pak lineup, the Laser Cup! And don't worry, there will be two more maps and another Emotion Engine level coming soon.
New Cup: Laser Cup
New Maps: Maple Leaf Ravine and Polar Paradise
New Battle Maps: Nintendo GameCube
New Visual Changes to the existing maps
New Cup: Laser Cup
This is the 3rd cup for the Track Pak included in Pak 3. This also moves the two existing maps, Midnight Bay Streets and Nimbus Arena, into the new cup, along with 3 new maps!
New Map #1: Maple Leaf Ravine
A forested course set during the autumn season with a lot of water sections to start the Laser Cup. Fans of SRB2K would remember Dark Race as it has been reimagined to fit with Ring Racers. This is the 2nd SRB2K map remake I've done since Megablock Castle now Tetromino Palace.
New Map #2: Polar Paradise
It is a returning course originally from the Joker GP Mania Star Pack. This takes place on a cold arctic island with many small pools of water with ice sections. Be careful about where you slip on the water and ice and keep an eye out for the Penguinators sliding through the ice.
New Battle Map: Nintendo GameCube
A returning battle map that was originally from the Bowler's Pack. Battle against opponents on top of the iconic console inspired by Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, this time, without the walls. Much of this map's inspiration was from The Akaneia Build, as you see Memory Card icons of various GameCube games surround the stage. Makes you want to go back to the year 2001.
New Encore Variants: Maple Leaf Ravine and Polar Paradise now have Encore variants. Do you like a Halloween-themed Maple Leaf or being in a blizzard in Polar?
New visual changes on existing maps: Since I've been whipping up new stuff on the new maps, I figured I would do some visual changes on the existing maps so you might discover many changes to the surroundings, but not affecting the layouts in general. Some include Frutiger Aeropolis and Tetromino Palace.
New songs added to the Alt. Song Pack: You might expect to see some for Pak 3 as well!
Other fixes:
-The bridges in Nimbus Arena are no longer destroyed in Overtime, you can now go across the bridges to the other side where the kiosk is. Also, the area where the kiosk is is now smaller, so players can get the items.
-Updated Frutiger Aeropolis thumbnail.
-New item placements for Frutiger Aeropolis, replacing the old placements.
-After frustration, the music for the special stages has been resolved when obtaining the coin or a fall out in GP mode.
-Extended the landing area after the big jump in Starmine Speedway. Also included an Arc Arrow after the jump.
