Please stop fooling yourself. You're getting this nowhere. Retro Sonic is here. People like me have wanted him back. And you're just going to have to deal with it. Yes, we're going to complain about the lack of momentum if we cannot gain speed rolling down a hill. Yuji Naka (one man) perfected that 16 years ago. Why should it be that difficult now with an entire team of developers?
Wasn't Sonic Rush the inspiration for Sonic Unleashed/Sonic Generations? I don't think it was the mach speed sections.As a side note, I find it ironic that one of the least polished and ill-implemented features of Sonic '06, Sonic's Mach Speed sections, developed into one of the more recent games defining features, the straightaway segments where Sonic is pursued by something.
My fault, I didn't correctly understand his post ala the last sentence. I thought he was just referring to being fast in the mach speed sections.He specifically cited the segments where you're being chased by something, not the game as a whole.

I really wish they'd wouldn't have Unleashed or Colors stages in this game. They strike me as too recent to be nostalgic, too redundant (becuase Modern Sonic-style gameplay was already a feature in those games) and quite frankly lazy (I do wonder how much of Generation's Spagonia will be built from the ground up and original). Classic Sonic had better have an interesting go through these stages.
