Where do extract wads and other addons

Are you sure because in player select I cant change it to the wad I downloaded (do you mean the folder that has the thing that starts the game or the SRB2Src109)

The folder that has the thing that starts the game. The folder containing srb2win.exe and all of the other files that SRB2 uses.

Does anyone have any idea on how we can make addons more idiot-proof?

Make SRB2 check in a folder called WADS. Inside the wads folder should be a placeholder text file that says "place wads here.txt"

Make it so that ADDFILE can read WADs from any point in the computer. Hell, maybe implement a crude file browser into the menu and use THAT to load WAD files, and maybe use that to remove WAD files, too, so you can join other multiplayer games without having to restart SRB2.

Drag-and-drop WAD-loading a la ZDOOM'd be awesome, too.

Absolutly imposable. There will always be at least one person who will ask the stupidest questions that even his desktop screen could say.

...an example that comes to mind:

-------
n00b: How you play?
Mystic: double click on the exe.
n00b: What a 'exe'?
Mystic: An execution to run the specified program.
n00b: How you use?
Mystic: Double click
n00b: I say how you use!?
Mystic: Double click
n00b: i say how you use, and you say nuttin i can understand. I hate you! I hate you all!! *mindless babling about how much better he thinks his is* *random swearing*
Mystic: *pulls out bannage rifle*
*ker-snipe*
Shadow Hog: You spelt "nothing" wrong.
--------

=P
