When I try to join certain people's server, srb2 just shuts down on me. Also, even though I host people also don't join my server. Can someone tell me what's wrong? (This usually happens to co-op servers).

Check the FAQ, I'm not linking you to it because links to it are all over the freaking place.

That's probably not it though, if you attempt to join a netgame in which the host has WADs added that you don't have in your SRB2 folder, SRB2'll just shut down, popping up a list of the missing WADs.

Because that's probably not idiot friendly enough, how you would get those WADs depends of course on the WADs. Alot of servers will actually use unreleased WADs as a means of hosting pseudoprivate netgames.

Also, you need to have more than just the WAD, but the correct version of the WAD.

Yeah...I know that now. I know I'm a n00b and nerd and etc, etc. I read the FAQ and everything I get it.

Port forwarding is only required for hosting games, why do you need to open ports? Hell just in case there is some reason go to 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or whatever your router's ip address is. If you do not have a router then I'm hoping you hit unblock when windows firewall prompted you when you launched srb2.exe. Find the Port forwarding range in your router and select the correct UDP and TCP ports. Check the faq for them.
