What happened to the SRB1 Remake?

I'm talking about the fangame made by Earless Team/SNick. Not the removed in-game unlockable.

I recently became interested in it again and I just wondered why the project completely dipped a month or two after the SAGE demo came out.

i'm not sure myself but I've always hoped that the devs continued working on it in secret
but considering we've seen literally nothing on it it seems that development just stopped. which would piss me off greatly if it did because it had tons of potential.

The devs are probably still working on it but under-covered/waiting until they have more work done on it or they just silently canceled it, this type of thing usually happens with Sonic fangames (almost) all the time (looking at you Sonic Hysteria)

Eh, most likely in secret/under-cover development, or just silently cancelled. The last we heard about it was from the SAGE (Sonic Amateur Gaming Expo) 2020 demonstration. Perhaps we could try get in-contact with them, but this is how it is.
