Out already?! Man, I thought it'll release when it's fully done but I think these people got tired of waiting.

Don't have time to play it at the moment, but downloading now in case the servers get clogged (since people have been waiting for the next big level pack to drop for a while now).

I noticed one of the screenshots have rails in them, is this a sign that all of the packs currently in a holding pattern due to that mechanic get released soon?

Some people can ask Shine to release map-packs early with rails, Which fly into releases with proof of his approval, I assume most people either don't know this, Don't want to bother Shine, Or know of this and are intentionally waiting for Rails to release, To mayhaps teach people patience.

feels extremely shitty to lose 3 acts of progress to one unmarked death plane in NCZ because I'm not allowed to hit the retry button.
(pictured: dramatic reenactment i recorded in devmode after the fact.)

There's been a lot of frustration and navigation troubles with some of the newer stuff in general. What's sticking out in my mind most in that regard is Vulkan Forge and Silver Cavern. In general the use of extreme darkness combined with similarly-colored walls in places, plus some level design still being somewhat labyrinthine, compounds. (I also spent over 20 minutes in Labyrinth Woods, but that's probably either by design or more my fault than the level's.) The relative difficulty of FRZ's boss also feels a little too high when it's followed by MFZ's comparatively much easier one.
I've found a few other unmarked death planes in places that I could retry out of, in MFZ2 especially off the top of my head. Actually, there was place where I got stuck in a little pit under an arched bridge while on the snowboard. Speaking of that snowboard- thing's jank and unwieldy. Could use improvement.
On the overall I feel pretty positive about 0.6, but... especially for the special stages You Can't Retry, there really should have been a death plane pass... Or at least some kind of command for getting unstuck. Which I may have missed, but I did look pretty hard for one!

I have found a... surprising bug in Spatial Void, for whatever reason the level just didn't end after going past the goal. No extra mods were used so this is an issue with MRCE itself. Also, after (accidentally) closing the game and reopening, the level DID complete like normal. I have no idea why it didn't work properly the first time through.

Another thing I should mention is that while using Sonic & Tails, whenever the Tails bot takes damage in a special stage it reduces your score and multiplier as if you got hit. Its making getting the Super Emerald in Nitric Citadel way harder than it needs to be.

Since I'm seeing other people provide feedback at the moment, I do want to mention something relatively small-ish? Though what I've seen so far is pretty great, if difficult, so Kudos to everyone involved!

The levels are gorgeous and the amount of detail is really good... But I think that may be a bit of a double-edged sword. I'm taking a break as of Flame Rift because the amount of lag / frame drops I'm getting is really heavy! Jade Coast went pretty well for the most part (if any drops happened they were probably the usual I experience with the vanilla game as well), but starting with Tempest Valley (i think Act 2 specifically) things started to slow down drastically, with Verdant Forest being the exception, I believe.

I don't think my PC is THAT weak (it is a Mac OS, admittedly), as I'm able to run plenty of other mods with practically no issue on that front. When it comes to this mod however, Flame Rift in particlar managed to lower my FPS counter to the single digits for uncomfortably long time frames.

I understand if the level of detail is something that the team may want to keep-- the levels look gorgeous after all-- so if that's something that can't be negotiated, I would please ask that some kind of quality settings be added to allow it to run smoother, such as by lowering the amount of particles that show up. I may pick up the mod and continue from where I left off, but the slow down is REALLY that much of a drag for me.
I had a critique that involved my FPS lowering (kept it right above this via a Spoiler) but I was then informed of the Settings menu that I... Somehow missed at first (or dismissed when seeing the first initial options, either or), so the problem has mostly been solved now!
