I was getting into SRB2 and it said:

File invalid or modified: sonic.plr (existing:du934h589037d90 wanted:f2hy65809734h9rf56)

Or something along those lines.

What do I do? can I download a new sonic.plr somewhere?

Just reinstall SRB2. That should fix it.

Download it again. Keep the install file in case you mess up sonic.plr again.
