Settings Keep Resetting Whenever I Close and Reopen the Game

I was playing SRB2 (Version 2.2.15) today, but about an hour or two ago, when I closed the game to disable the add-ons I had on, and then re-opened it, the game had reset all of my settings back to default. I configured them again, but when I closed it and then re-opened the game later, the settings had reset back to default again. Now every time I close and re-open the game, the game resets the settings back to default, even though it had been working earlier today. Can someone please help me? It's frustrating me, especially with all of control settings being reset to default.

I've been going through the same thing so I've been doing the autoexe.cfg trick and it's been helping, you should look into it!
