Minecraft Ideas that are Somehow Realistic and Unrealistic Simultaneously

"I am the real Sonic!- not."
You all know Minecraft. Number uno selling game in the world. No intro needed, let's get right into the meat.

1. One Game, Mojang

Preferably, a refined, cleaned up, and polished version of Minecraft: Java Edition. Now, how would one get this on consoles? That's kinda hard.

First off, Java is intensive. Your average console is gonna have a hard time running it. Powerful computers already lag a bit when you crank up the render distance, but that's mostly due to the game's quite frankly abysmal optimization.

Second of, it's Java. From my research, you either need a wrapper (resource intensive and gonna be real hard to get on a console) or a virtual machine (yikes). Possibly possible if Mojang/Microsoft can make Minecraft run on a barebones version of Linux, that then itself can be ported to consoles. ...I think.

Barring any other setbacks, if Microsoft can manage to get Java running on consoles, we're already in a good future... even if they won't ever do it, because Bedrock is their cash-cow. Let's just pretend that Microsoft has the best intentions. It's rather obvious - Mojang prefers their baby, Java, comparted to the zombie-husk-Skinwalker that is Bedrock. Microsoft, of course, prefers Bedrock.

The Switch IS a problem, but the Switch 2 should be able to maybe run it at 30fps at low graphics settings.

2. Data-Based Dreams

Most of you should know that Minecraft is pretty hard-coded. Right now, they are working to backtrack on that, as seen in the new component system, but it's still a very hardcoded game, which only makes it harder on the employees.

If Mojang were to take all the hardcoded files and instead build an infostructure where there is one big list of, say, blocks, and the game could read custom data through JSONs within the folders to generate the blocks in-game. This would be a data-based system, which is not only open to tons of more modding potential but makes the lives of the employees a bit easier. As we all know, they work 30 grueling minutes a week, so they really need the extra time (jokes aside, great job, workers).

The Minecraft blocks (and more, like items, UI, and entities) could possibly use a custom coding language to do all the things they used to do within Java internally, to again, make the Mojang employees lives easier, but allow modders to implement entirely custom blocks, nothing barred, entirely within the game's engine. Granted, the language would take a while, but I think it'd be worth it. Kinda similar to Bedrock's Addons API, but also not.

Imagine logging onto a server and there's just the Create mod? And your buddies on the Xbox and PlayStation could hop onto the same server, within the same version? That'd truly be one of the best timelines.

3. Ancient Relics Restored

IIRC, this might already in progress, but Mojang needs to dig back into Minecraft's code and bring it up to standard with today's code. This really goes well with the data-based rework, as that would entirely change how the game works internally. Especially minecarts. Those should really be fixed.

4. Marketplace

no

5. Truely a Sandbox

Last thing. Minecraft is already a great sandbox, but what if it was a sandocean? As stated in 2., a data-based Minecraft with full modding support (allowing you to do practically anything within the confines of Minecraft) would already be great. The mods would probably just be called Data-Packs. Now, imagine. Minecraft itself is a Data-Pack. A Data-Pack you can disable. Now Minecraft is truly the ultimate sandbox - a sandocean. You can mold it into ANYTHING you want. An entirely new experience, if you please!

All would be possible...

Anyways, you just read me hallucinating about perfect Minecraft for about 3 minutes. Do you have any thoughts of your own?

Are you saying you want the Marketplace to be removed? I can see why.
It's a cool concept in general but the extreme direct monetization is the wrong way to go about it. Modding has always been free and community-driven, and it should stay that way. People mod out of passion. If the Marketplace were to return, it'd a be a page where you could publish your game pack and it's just there. You could possibly even partner with Microsoft to receive ad revenue or something.
