How to set up controller?

I have a switch pro controller that I want to use to play, but I can't get it working. Does anyone know how to pair it or anything? (It is wireless)

First, open options, then open controls, then open gamepad, then open select gamepad and select the one which you're using. The movement is automatically selected, for then rest of the buttons, you need to cofigure in the button layout in the menu control configuration in the control options menu.

The rest of the buttons I meant are spin jump etc...

I've plugged it in and went to gamepad options for p1, but all it says is "Unavailable" and "None", though one of the unavailables is in green
