How does the "Chain parameters" Linedef work?

Im making a mappack! come stop by and check it out
I have been trying to figure it out but my smooth caveman brain cant figure it out...

i dont even want it to be one of the grabbable thingies i want it to be a swinging mace...

any help is appreciated!! :) (i really need it...)
