Having problems making waterslides cuz I can't read

I'm trying to make a water slide but am too stupid to understand what the wiki is saying and how to actually MAKE it a water slide and not a current that sends me flying in the direction I don't wanna go, pls help me

Edit: got the currents in the right direction and stay in the water, just dont get the pain animations but it "WORKS" for now i guess.
