Gamedata frustrating error

For some reason sometimes, when I enter the game there's a bug with the gamedata, saying that I need to eliminate the gamedata because is a different version and the same thing happens with the mods like Encore mode or Sol Estancia.Do you know why this happens?

This has happened to me before. From what I've experienced with this issue in the past, this happens because your PC may lag out a lot when attempting to open the game. It opens a lot of windows at once that you'll have to close, and that somehow glitches the gamedata. This probably isn't the actual cause, it might just be some sort of failsafe, but I'm not sure.
If this happens every time you open the game, however, then I'm not sure what the problem could be.

It happened so much times at this point but maybe because I don't have a gamer PC,I literally play in a notebook

If it's really that bad, I would resort to something like making a copy of your gamedata somewhere outside your SRB2 folder and adding it back in whenever you reopen it.
I do it but it appears that it doesn't work on mods..

I didn't really do anything to "solve" it. I didn't have a backup, personally, because I'm forgetful and apparently incapable in following my own advice.
However, the most recent time I had it happen, I used the gamedata I had on my USB that I bring to my school's Video Game Club every Friday to replace it. So, I guess I did have a back-up then.

Oh,well but did you try with mods?

you need to find a .dat file on your srb2 folder (e.g. srb2past20.dat) and copy it to another folder, and also the .ssg file if you want to copy the save file

The save file doesn't break (at least not from the 15+? times my gamedata broke)
I got a new PC, runs smoothly, and it got 0 gamedata corruptions, so it indeed is a low-end PC issue.
It happens with all .dat files except the models.dat
Oh, and, btw, I already made a thread about this a bit after I made my account, so, like, months ago?

I actually saw your thread,I was going to ask in the thread but then I forgot to do it,also this would be if there's any problem if there's like an overcharge of content problem that would be the cause of this?
