Fictional characters you'd never want to exist in real life.

Eternity in an hour
What are some fictional characters you are glad are just fiction? Most villains are rather low hanging fruit, but I'd probably say Superman.

There's a certain cosmic horror to him that makes him quite intimidating. As hard as he tries to remain pure, it's entirely possible for him to snap. If and when he does, there's little to no hope of anyone being able to do anything about it. Especially in the absence of someone like Batman who knows how to properly exploit his weaknesses. There's a few other characters in recent media that explore this sort of idea, but Superman himself is the original.

I don't know if you're trolling for the sake of it but let's avoid any controversial stuff here.
I was trolling, I just couldn't resist.

but seriously, I'd hate to live in a world like Shin Megami Tensei. I wouldn't want to have demons wanting to kill me all the time

Yeah, the world of SMT is basically a post-apocalyptical one where Order and Chaos are in a war and humans are merely in the middle.

Trolling aside, there actually are some fictional depictions of god that it would be terrible if they were real, whether it be based on any particular religion or original characters. The idea of corrupt gods is one that gets used in various media on occasion.

yeah, a being that is infinitely powerful is a being that is totally free to do anything they want, and that's terrifying

I would not want that tom and Jerry exsist in real life, because they would cause problems on our world, it would be a total caos!

any character from any sort of horror books/movies/games, I'd rather not get killed by Freddy Krueger under any circumstances

Actually it's funny because the depiction of God (with an uppercase G) in the Old Testament is pretty different from the New Testament.

Well, let's not derail the thread into religion talk further because I'm not a theologist and almost every gods of death (like Anubis) being there would be annoying to see.

Or even worse, Jason as he's basically indestructible or a T-800 as they're relentless killers.

My number one pick would be the Gravemind and the Flood from Halo. The mere notion of being infected to be assimilated against your will for its need to infect and spread, and being mind raped to the point of induced dementia until you're put out of your misery all because you're too smart is absolutely horrifying.

A similar close second would also be those weird dust... things and the monsters from Stranger Things that originate in The Upside Down. Season 3 was so full of body horror that rewatching Season 1 became so jarring because of how little gore there was.

Another pick would have to be the human-variant Cordyceps in The Last of Us. Just... fuck no. Those diseased walking corpses are purely vile in which words cannot describe.

The Flood kinda reminds me of the Borg from Star Trek in some way.
