Dumb question about the SRB2 palette

Man, I need to change my username
Ok so this might sound a bit stupid, but is the srb2 palette free? or "libre" or whatever, like can it be used for anything even commercial use? like freedoom levels of use? (btw if you don't know what freedoom is then here it is: https://freedoom.github.io/) the reason I'm asking is because I'm attempting to make the first 3D platformer in gzdoom and since the srb2 palette is nice and colorful for something like a platformer I'm wondering if it can be used for anything? I know the palette is like just 256 random hex colors in one file but it doesn't hurt to ask.

so basically I can use the palette as long as I give credit or what? if so then that's fine (I was planning on doing so if yes anyways lol)

what does the game being a fangame have to do with anything?
 
SRB2's palette is free to use because it is a set of colours and you can't really assert copyright over a colour (in most contexts). If you feel like being courteous you could find out who designed the palette and credit them.
