Viewing map of GFZ1, which has a BLOCKMAP lump:

Viewing map of DSZ1, which has no BLOCKMAP lump:

This happens in all maps that lack a BLOCKMAP lump in the WAD.

We couldn't care less about bugs in development tools, quite honestly.
