Any of you guys think you have something, but you aren't sure or nobody believes you?

For example, i think i have Aspergers, but parents won't believe me :1

Unless you have the diagnosis of a trained and relevant professional, do not look too deeply into that.

Hence the "i think". I read an article about it and i have some (if not all) of the caracteristics of people who have it.

And i doubt i'll be able to go with a specialist check me. I don't have any way of going to one, even if i knew where to find one.

Don't be a hypochondriac.

It's like having someone read you a horoscope and going, "Wow, that is SO about me!"... then it turns out your friend was reading you the wrong horoscope and ALL of them sound like they're about you.

If he was hypochondriac, he would be sick, thus making him not a hypochondriac... [/loophole]

That being said, it's possible to be anti-social without having Aspergers. Aspergers is a disorder, while being anti-social may be because of your character. In the former case, it's actually because there is something wrong in your brain. In the latter, it's just the way you are.

Some of the characteristics that where shown in the article i read were:

-They do the same thing repeated times, thing other people would find boring and/or annoying.
-They usually are very good at what they do.
-They are very good expressing themselves writing or typing, since they can pick the words to mean exactly what they want to mean. Usually these people do excellent quality written works.
-They have difficulties to start/keep a verbal conversation, which can also lead to problems at any social interaction, which sometimes could be considered an anti-social attitude.
-They have a great visual, numerical and/or musical memory.
-They are very rational (AKA they always use logic.)

8D YAY! Something is wrong with my brain!

Hypochondria is a legitimate psychological disorder, SSNTails. As much as everyone makes fun of hypochondriacs, they aren't that way by choice.

Not that I'm saying you're a hypochondriac, ErickTH.

I'm not making fun of it. I've been a suffer of it before, too. But if you try hard enough you can overcome it.

As I said, you can have all of these characteristics without having Aspergers. The disorder itself could be described as a "malformation" of the brain in which certain "parts" of it are underdeveloped (the conversational one, for example) in favor of others. Yes, Fawfulfan, that means something is wrong with your brain. Have fun with it! (Before you start accusing me of being an idiot, I have Aspergers too, so I' certainly not trying to insult him for it.)

I tend to get sick quite easily (as in colds, fevers, rashes and stuff like that), but otherwise there isn't anything mentally or anatomically wrong with me.

That sounds like somebody I know.

That sounds like me, except with the ability to start/keep conversation.
...

I can remember anything if I link it to music. Otherwise... *forget*
