Has anyone ever tried to play SRB2 without jumping?

I can walk over the gaps of pits, but when it comes to that thingy in the second part, it's impossible.
I WOULD try making an GIF on showing that it theoretically would be possible, but SRB2 keeps crunching my GIFs to an assed look, even on the highest resolution and low.

Have you tried going into options > data options > screenshot options and turning gif downscaling off?

Update:
Okay, after fiddling around, I noticed that OpenGL was indeed unstable, so I had to remove it.
Finally, as I was about to say, getting to the thingys in AGZ is borderline impossible, but as seen in this video, by hacking in a Whirlwind Monitor, it's theoretically possible if Sonic had an Whirlwind Shield.
But as most things are out of reach, this will be impossible.

So, I started deciding to see how few "jumps" we can beat the levels with.

GFZ1, GFZ2, and GFZ3 can all be completed with 0xJumps.

Additionally, GFZ2 can be done 0xA Presses (No White shield)

I performed all of these replays blind (Didn't look up videos of the sorts)

Instead, why don't we try and nail down how few jumps it takes?

EDIT: Did THZ1 with 5xJump. Getting to the white shield required a nice tour of the right-hand path. It worked out great in the end.

Yes. Lets go full ABC on SRB2. Except for the fact that we don't have glitches and quirks in level geometry that last long enough to abuse. :V

Well, PUs don't work because even with your ship going at Ludicrous Speed in space, it would not work due to how SRB2 works.
IIRC there was a slight glitch on some walls where spinning on it gives you ridiculous speed, though it was probably fixed.
