I'm curious about adventure mode...

The Wiki doesn't go into any detail about Adventure Mode at all. What is it? How is it different from just plain old Single Player?

Thanks, I'll make such a page soon.

Automatically turns Analog Control (SA-style controls) on. This is terrible for any mouselook users, and it's horrid in zones like Aerial Garden Zone Act 2. This is the main reason Adventure Mode is avoided.

Tails flies by jumping, then holding jump. He also cannot fly as high.

Light dash is enabled, and Sonic's thok is a homing attack.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Well...

Homing Attack, Lightdash, and Analog control are turned on by default.
Knuckles gains multiability.
Tails' flight works more like in SA1.
A very faint, hard to notice sound effect when you land.
I remember seeing something in the source code about turning down gravity, but it might've just been my imagination.
If an object with MF_BOSS is in the level somewhere, the camera will lock onto it. (The only time Analog control ISN'T a piece of crap.)
Player hits his "falling" frames when you simply drop off a cliff.

Might be a few other things, but that's all I know.

Edit: Curse you Sonicmaster.

I've done some experimenting with Adventure Mode and discovered two other things about it.

1. If hit in Adventure Mode, you drop your rings more like you would in Sonic Adventure.
2. In Adventure Mode, monitors pop if touched; they don't need to be spun or jumped on.
