How does Bouncy sector work?

I looked at the wiki, but it doesn't have the answer to my problem. I applied the bouncy effect to the control sector but all it does is when I get on the FOF it launches my player way too fast, if the linedef is a large length. If it is a small length the fof does not bounce and instead makes the player stuck. How can I just make it bounce normally?

You MUST do it on an FOF. That part you already have, so that's good.

The FOF must have Bouncy Sector as its Sector Type. The control linedef controls how bouncy the sector is, but you need the Bouncy Wall flag on that linedef; otherwise, it will be perpetual.

X? Y? I don't know about that yet. Is their a wiki article on this?

You must be joking, right? X is horizontal distance of the line, Y is vertical distance.

A length of 96X, 0Y would be a horizontal line 96 fracunits long. A length of 0X, 96Y would be a vertical line 96 fracunits long. A length of 96X, 96Y would be a diagonal line equal in length to the square root of 192.

Anyway, to make a long story short, try a diagonal linedef.
