Usually lurks somewhere.
Is it possible to make a custom character use a separate stateset than the standard one? So that you can do custom states without affecting everyone.
 
Unfortunately no, every character uses the same player thing.

There are a few ways to cheat with spinitem and thokitem, but nothing major.
