That sound Silver makes when you press the jump button while you're already in the air; you're missing the second part to it. If you check SRB2 Riders you'll hear the part of the sound for when Silver runs out of energy/or let go of the jump button. It sounds weird and empty without that sound...
This is an interesting concept. Having something like this in vanilla would be cool, and it would make collecting rings more rewarding. Maybe having it so there's multiple kinds of Bonus Stages that the Star Posts transport you to would be good (like in Sonic 3 & Knuckles).
Also, you should...
Make the ball spawn hiccup bubbles as it gets kicked across the map. Also, it'd be cool to see a bunch of fish swimming around or something. A lot of these water maps are just dead of life.

Well I found this.
I'd honestly like to see the Facestabber guard from CEZ get a sprite revamp. The current sprites aren't bad, but seeing its cool design in a more polished art style would be interesting. That really loud turret shooter thingy could use a revamp too, if that wasn't already mentioned. That thing...
This project would be far more interesting if you based the design off of one of the ghosts from Pac-Man World, rather than straight out of the original arcade game.
Take Zippers advice too.
I don't think this would have worked out anyway. The model rips would have had wonky animation and looked quite out of place. If someone could actually get a fully animated model of OoT Link integrated into SRB2, then that would be of interest.
I guess that's an interesting way to think about it. But I personally more so prefer aesthetically pleasing sprites in general. That Amy at least differs in design, but in general those sprites are pretty horrible. 2.0 Knuckles isn't that bad though.
