Reading through this thread for the past few days has left me in a mood I'm not sure I can describe. I'll just go ahead and put my own thoughts out there... I discovered SRB2 as a pretty young kid during the late final demo days but didn't start interacting with the community until a few years...

The Starpost right before the lava wave room in RVZ1 can sometimes make you respawn right over the lava and into an immediate death. I couldn't replicate it consistently but it might still be worth looking into.

Pretty enjoyable maps to playthrough. I really liked the aesthetic you went for, especially for act 2, and the music choices were great. I do think that some areas (mosty in act 2) were too open. I ended up losing track of the intended path anytime I strayed a bit too far for some exploration...

Minor visual hiccup here. These chains aren't properly lined up with the pillars.

This trailer was absolutely beautiful. It's hard to believe how far the project has come and how much of a leap this is from 2.1. I might have spent a good 2 hours today dissecting every single detail. Can't wait to sit down and explore the updated levels and hear the rest of the soundtrack...

I actually think the game does a pretty good job at maintaining a good "flow" in most levels even with the way the engine works. Being familiar with the layouts and using the strafe keys properly lets you run through stages like GFZ, ACZ, RVZ and even ERZ1 without much stopping. As long as there...

Yeah, I would be surprised if this was it for entirely new characters. Going out of their way to state that more will be revealed in the coming months only to go ahead and only show echoes seems off to me...
