Everytime I boot up Dr Robotnik's Ring Racers, it only plays this one woosh sound. Did I miss loading a pk3 or something?

Every time I try to load up the Chaotix characters on the addons file, the game's audio stops, before it closes/crashes. I would like some insight on how this is happening and how i can stop it. Its version 2.2.14 by the way.
