Looking again, it may just need the dll files from version 1.x. If so, do you have such?
I don't think it's possible to make such thing without making further engine modifications, as version 2.0 is meant for Windows Vista/7 Computers due to it's DirectDraw Engine. You could hypothetically use an emulator like Winlator or Exagear, or even try that one crappy PSP port made around...
