    That looks neat, I look forward to trying it. In "Sonic and the Gunslinger" I had Super Sonic up against multiple copies of Fang in different parts of a canyon maze. You had to defeat the three copies before taking on the real one. I used a transparent floor to simulate flight, which I think...

    Great work so far...not sure what you're still planning to add, but I think the FOFs crumbled/fell in the original. To expand the borders, I would try diagonals in a few tight places --- see the ones I've marked in yellow below. It might still cause the problems you mentioned, but it's worth a try.
