Golden Shine posting! A few weeks ago, Metalwario64 just casually dropped his SA2 model for public use! Yes, the very same one you've seen used for all of the main page's renders, and indeed also the same one he's used for sprite referencing.
The HD SA2 Sonic blender model has been released...
I do have the Super head and torso mesh with Generations' textures but I need to make a full Super release with a proper tint and glow, and maybe an option for chrome if I can figure out how to drive that.
It certainly sucks regardless. But I'm excited to finish the last few sprites I got and will let Spork cook when he finds the time, though I don't want to say too much and will let him speak for himself on that front. :)
I also wanna say that on our end we aren't too worried about the leak. It's an old version and there's a lot of neat things and fixes added since then, and all the new sprites aren't even in yet.
I made this back when Modern's resprite was starting. I of course prefer Uekawa but the games use the model renders as the face of the games and even the IDW art tends to look more model inspired, as well as the new Shadow animation. It wasn't my choice so the resprite is as you see it, Uekawa...
