No worries bud, personal healthy always comes first. You inspired a lot of people to get together and make something neat so nothing has been wasted. Don't beat yourself up, ok?
I'm using one of the DSZ tracks, the slower more ambient one I believe. The layout is still being worked on but I think I'm going to do something similar to The Mystic Realms AGZ Act 4 where you have different paths and have to complete them to open more of the main path! Either that or I'll...
Seeing THZ's wall textures with GFZ grass brings me back, man. I think it shows early signs of potential! I think you should follow boins advice and add some more details and things to fill the open areas up a bit more, but you're in a good direction so far!
I think this might belong in Editing help as opposed to just Editing. I'm afraid that I'm not good with Lua so all I can do is point you in a better direction where you might get an answer more quickly. You could also probably try coming onto the irc chat and asking there, you might get a...
Aside from the DSZ, MZ and rock/dirt textures (and some vines etc), yes. I made all the other textures myself. I actually have an image of some of them on the first page of the topic c: . Also, some textures were made by Spherallic (creator of Seraphic Skylands, its a great map you should...
I think a major improvement would be the Sonic CD special stages that were ported over (I think by Lat), although anything would be better than the NiD stages we currently are stuck with.
As for the actual gif that was posted, it seems like an interesting gimmick but looks a little lackluster...
Hi there,
Unfortunately, no one (to my knowledge) here really knows much about Generations Modding. I do know for a fact that Sonic Retro has a very, VERY active modding community for Sonic Generations so it would probably be best if you went there for help.
Cheers!
If you want I can give you the assets, I think they'd fit in really nicely with that maps aesthetic.
Also,
I noticed the issue with his ass last night before I went to bed but I didn't notice the inconsistencies with the lighting on his head, thanks for pointing that out, Roach.
Haha, I haven't thought about that map in a long time! It was quite a cramped location but a good testing ground for a lot of aesthetic details I like to reuse. Glad you like what you've seen so far, I consider it quite the high praise. I might be able to shoot something over to you if you wanna...
I guess that depends on the player! This map wont be linear in the slightest and will focus on players finding switches to open new pathways to progress and solving puzzles. Seeing how there's never been a level mad that focuses on exploration exclusively... I don't think I can really make a...
Hi everyone, its that time of the year again!
I finally decided to get off my ass and start using some of my spare time to work on my map again, hard to believe its been close to a year since I touched it last.
I've mostly been tweaking the starting area because it was feeling way too...
I like the orange highlights but I feel like they might be a bit too much; the rocks sorta feels a bit more like the background since they share so much with the sky. I threw together a quick and dirty edit gif because I felt it'd describe what I was saying better (Ignore how that one stripe in...
I agree with Mystic on this, there's way too much stuff going on here with your color scheme. There's something really, REALLY simple that can make this 100% less of an eye blinder and that is called hue shifting.
Here are some links that provide really awesome tutorials and some good places to...
