To publicly host a server, you first need to open port 5029 in your router settings or ISP website. This will require you to have access to the password for either of these, so you may need to ask whoever owns the account to it. You can search this up online, usually something like "[isp name]...
Maybe you're using some exotic OS like, I dunno FreeBSD or something where you can't compile it natively. Even then, if you're using such an OS wouldn't you end up passing your GPU through to the VM via PCIe passthrough features? Kinda getting off topic, but I don't see a realistic situation...
The game should do it for you, assuming you don't have it misconfigured on your end or it isn't down or something like that
Make sure you're changing your room from Unlisted in the multiplayer menu!
If anyone outside your local network can connect to your server, that means your port is open. Maybe your server isn't registering with the master server for some reason?
It's probably your VM. I have a friend that uses Windows 7 still and it works fine for him. I'd imagine some driver thing? Why aren't you just running the game on your host operating system?
I believe there's a SOC out there that creates a new set of savefiles for modified sessions. I don't remember where it is but I know it exists, I've used it before
Edit: Here
How do I add Discord RPC support to a Linux x64 build? I think I have the right library but I don't know where to put it for it to compile with it properly.
Could it be possible to play SRB2 in VR? I think it's possible to play Doom 1 in VR, so why not SRB2? (I know this sounds kinda dumb but I just want to play SRB2 in VR okay)
I'm having a LOT of issues concerning compiling SRB2 for ARM. I've been asking on the Discord about it, and Golden helped me a lot (thanks by the way) but we still couldn't figure it out. It has to be ARM architecture. If an automated .sh script is out there, could you get me it? Thanks!
Wow! Great work you did here! All these buttery smooth extra animations really makes SRB2 much livelier overall, and the sprites look great too! One of the first things I did was put this wad on my server.
