I do actually think circuit maps could make a comeback in modern SRB2 with all the modding capabilities that we have today.
I wouldn't really say making maps focus on specific characters would make it more fun, though. Maybe the mode could disable double-jump abilities altogether?
I'd say LUA is one of the more difficult yet more rewarding types of mods to get into.
The wiki has plenty of resources for it. My advice is to try and figure something out using the wiki before you ask a question somewhere, though.
Although, not every mod needs LUA. Not even characters. It's...
My recommendation is Fighters Megamix, which is easily my favorite SEGA fighting game.
It's a mix between Virtua Fighter and Fighting Vipers, but I'd say regardless of if you know those series well, it's worth playing
Only Kart Krew worked on DRRR. (Albeit there are a select few people who are on both teams)

It's possible for people to make their own master servers you know :P
He said the reverse of that.
You can set a linedef/sector's effect number to one that doesn't exist and have LUA check for it and then execute code for it.
My old username on this site, maze master 7, was something I made up because the LBP youtuber Glitch Master 7 was on my mind.
I also was thinking of making a series of maze-like maps for SRB2.
I eventually revised it to MazesAhoy which stuck around a bit longer than the previous one.
Jammin'...
From the looks of it, it wasn’t very high quality.
Those who had it (including Golden Shine) likely just deleted the old one when the new version came out.
Just a huge art dump of things varying in age.
The blue character (his name is Jam) is my character. Everyone else is not one of my characters.
(There might be some inside jokes that may not be understood, but eh.)
