Small update: I believe I can only join vanilla netgames only. any modded, cheated, or both netgames won't make me join.

That might be the same thing as original SRB2, but you NEED to use the legacy palette. As for Ring Racers, Use the 2.2.X(current SRB2 versions) palette. 1776598332 mb kart has its own set of palettes
