This also occurs with bumpers. Both objects have MF_SPRING so I imagine that's the cause. Amy can hammer balloons and bumpers for more height too (and it even plays the sprong sound).

Crop circle fire doesn't obey reverse gravity when only the player is flipped

THZ2 Knuckles path conveyor skip

I assume climbing up the conveyors is supposed to be required here, but since the windows and the supports next to them aren't marked as "not climbable" you can just skip doing that entirely.
