Nevermind, Callum, I FINALLY got Homebrew on my Wii! Now, as for the download link on page 1... I got one file called 'srb2wii-ios.tar.bz2', and i don't see where that fits on the list on the first page. Also: under /apps, where it says / i make that folder myself?

zephyr 08-29-2010 07:12 PM

Quote: i make that folder myself?
Yes, indeed....well, that's what i've done.

Okay, but where do i get the /apps/srb2wii/icon.png and the /apps/srb2wii/meta.xml?

They come with it.

light the elementa 08-29-2010 07:21 PM

Come with what? SRB2?

The tarball file. They autoextract to the right place.

..Which he doesn't seem to realize is a type of compression that he needs to extract first.

light the elementa 08-29-2010 07:29 PM

...explain exactly what i do with the tarball file.

BlazingPhoenix 08-29-2010 07:31 PM

Download 7-zip, install that and then extract it. Then extract the .tar inside it.

light the elementa 08-29-2010 07:33 PM

Oh, so I need 7-zip, then I can extract the files out of the .bz2 file?

BlazingPhoenix 08-29-2010 07:36 PM

That is correct.

light the elementa 08-29-2010 07:40 PM

Okay, so I got 7-zip, right-clicked the file, went to 7-zip, then it shows a big list of things to do. So i clicked 'Extract Files...' and then pressed okay, and it made a folder with the SAME FILE in it! Help ._.
Wait, wait...nvm. its a TAR file now. Now what do I do?

Fawfulfan 08-29-2010 07:48 PM

You mean the other BZ2 file? That's supposed to happen. Don't extract it; SRB2Wii uses it in a special way.

light the elementa 08-29-2010 07:51 PM

I got the BZ2 file as a TAR file, and got rid of the old BZ2 file. Now what?

BlazingPhoenix 08-29-2010 07:53 PM

You extract the tar file and it should have the srb2wii files like a .elf, the .xml and the .png

light the elementa 08-29-2010 07:59 PM

ok here's how it's set up:
/apps/srb2wii/(all the files stated on the first page)
-Am i supposed to get rid of all the other stuff that was on my SD card for the Homebrew/Bootmii installation?
-And i have an extra file called that supposed to be there? I put it in, and I saw the SRB2 icon pop up, so I clicked it, then I clicked Load, and then a whole lot of words popped up, but near the middle, it said something like 'bad_SD_Card' or something...and then at the end, it said 'SD Card not found...'. What did I do wrong??
-Because I have nothing to do, i'm working on typing the whole Error message on a notepad and then Cut/Pasting it here. Then you might be able to help me ._.
-Okay, here's the Error Message:

[ 0.217000] ----------[ cut here ]---------

BlazingPhoenix 08-29-2010 09:51 PM

You need to have all of SRB2's main files on your SD card too, check the first post to see which ones you need and it will tell you where to put the files.

light the elementa 08-29-2010 10:59 PM

Yeah, but read the Error Message I just posted... what does that even mean!?!?!?!

EternallyAries 10-02-2010 09:54 AM

So how is the project doing?

Retroben 10-03-2010 01:02 AM

This is the suckiest time of the year where a lot of things take longer because of school and other things depending on the person doing said things,so we will just have to wait and find out.
